Infantry-Bot is one four Command-Bots that operate various Harvesting Fleet battlecruisers under their respective Fleet Captains, alongside Logistics-Bot, Mind Space-Bot, and Warfare-Bot.
Appearance[]
He is a similar model as Analysis-Bot, and thus has no limbs at all, a cube-ish torso, and a tall head. He wears a black and gold military uniform, a gold vertical rectangular eyepiece, earpiece-like components, and a square component on the top of his head.
Background/History[]
Endless Mode/Challenges[]
Various appearances.
Chapter 1-2[]
No appearance (outside of possibly Insanity Difficulty), but a similar robot, Analysis-Bot, acts as a Commentator for the Danger Zone.
Chapter 3[]
An Infantry-Bot can be seen in the ending cutscene, in the control room of Harvesting Fleet Battlecruiser D-48 (the one the first human boards) along with three other Command-Bots and the Fleet Captain.
Chapter 4[]
After the human transfers their mind into Spear unit e225, Infantry-Bot notices strange behavior from the unit, as they just destroyed the other two (or more) Spear Bots. He and the other Command-Bots assist in tracking the human as they progress, and can be heard preparing the ship's infantry to attack the human armada.
When the human eventually arrives at the control room, Infantry-Bot and the other Command-Bots stand by as the Fleet Captain takes on the intruder. Upon the Captain's defeat, they enter emergency combat mode and take on the human themselves. They are defeated, and the human gains access to the ship's controls.
Chapter 5[]
An Infantry-Bot and Warfare-Bot can be found in the chamber leading to the Central Corridor of the Emperor's (second) battlecruiser. They seem to be working on the control panels in the room before engaging the humans.
Personality/Behavior[]
Due to his name, it can be presumed that he is the commander of the infantry units aboard the ship. Upon entering emergency combat mode, he becomes capable of flight and follows a specific attack pattern.
Infantry-Bot usually hovers around, occasionally summoning bots to destroy the player. It often either stays back, chargers at the player to knock them down, or spews flames at them while falling back slowly.
Tactics[]
Infantry-Bot is probably the easiest of all 4 Command-Bots to defeat, as it does not have any primary weapons. The player could easily take down Infantry-Bot with any weapon although a bow is recommended, since it can be used to destroy Infantry-Bot while he's spawning opponents. If a bow is not available, a hammer is a second-best choice.
Trivia[]
- In Twitch Mode and the Level Editor, Infantry-Bot appears as "FleetAnalysisBot3".
