Clone Drone In The Danger Zone Wiki

The Emperor is the main antagonist of the Clone Drone story mode. He is the head of all robots and also the most powerful. His main goal is to take over as many human lives as possible.

Appearance[]

He is the tallest humanoid robot, because he is 4 times larger than a normal robot. He has a white metallic skin color. He also wears black greaves, feet and gloves along with a red bib that has giant shoulder pads. His legs are also decorated with red stripes. His head is very different from the other robots in the game, as he has a mouth and jaw. His eyes are also heavily bulged. On top of his head there is a gold wreath, which some people also call a crown.

Personality[]

Emperor is a very reserved and arrogant person. He is always serious and rarely shows emotions like surprise or joy. He speaks quite harshly of his subordinates, calling them fools and similar nicknames. When they don't listen to him, he says he'll replace them with a clone. He hates humans, and doesn't consider them a normal form of life. He is quite selfish himself, having built many statues in his honor.

Story[]

This section does contain major spoilers for story mode.[]

The Emperor's past in the game has never been disclosed, which makes it a mystery. However, it can be assumed that he is the most powerful robot, as evidenced by one cut-out phrase: "Even I, the greatest robot of them all, am under its command." It is also unknown who created the Emperor, but even he is under cont of the core directive, which he later reveals that ultimately despises. The main task of this instruction was to Harvest life, make it fight in robot form. The Emperor, under the authority of the instruction erected a great and powerful fleet that traveled through space, with the goal of finding life and capturing their consciousnesses, and placing them in a metallic shell to fight for their entertainment. Evidently, humans came into their sights. With this, the Emperor was aware of what was happening, but his body was not in control, and thus he was unable to destroy the well-protected instructions.

Of course, some humans who had been transferred to robot bodies found a way to escape, the first of all being Emilia. The Emperor’s quote: “Is your favourite colour still 5000 lines of hostile injection code?”, may reveal something about how she escaped. She was able to locate two processed humans suitable for her plan (our protagonists) and helped them escape from the robot’s arena. At a similar time, the Harvest Fleet reached the human’s Alpha Centauri Station, where a huge number of people were located. Emperor broadcasts this on screens which can be seen from the arena, announcing the event; three battle cruisers are seen, launching jetpack bots to board the station and capture everyone on board, so that they can turn them into metal gladiators. When it's over, the station is simply destroyed, leaving only bits and pieces. The Emperor wishes to do the same to all humans, and sends his fleet to make the largest capture of minds at Earth.

At the same time, inside the robot metropolis, three escaped humans (Emilia, and two of the player’s robots) have established a hideout, where they devise a plan to stop the fleet. They must move their minds to the fleet's battle cruisers, capture them, and then destroy the entire fleet. To do this, they needed to get to the top floor of the Communication Beacon, where Emilia would transfer our two heroes to the fleet. But at the last moment, the Emperor jumps out from the roof, crushing the two player robots underfoot. The Emperor announces that he now sees Emilia. Unable to do anything, simply watched as the Emperor destroyed the servers that held parts of her mind, and completely disintegrating her physical form. While the Emperor appeared to enjoy Emilia's demise, the mind transfer continued. One of the humans was transferred onto one of the ships in the fleet. However, the Emperor was not yet aware of the mind virus protocol that Emilia had activated shortly before her death. Slowly but surely, the robot began to make his way to the captain's bridge. Meanwhile, the fleet was approaching Earth, where a Human Armada met them. The robot ships armour and shields were clearly quite resistant to human weaponry, as the command of the ship the player is in considered it only a threat level 3. The robots sent a false diplomat to a small human cruiser, which immediately harvested its mind, and the robots sent it into their arena. The battle started right after. Great detachments of jetpack bots engaged human fighter craft, and battle cruisers opened fire on each other. The humans kept the robots occupied for a few minutes, at least. The Emperor attempted to contact the Captain of the craft the player is in order to get a status report, but after a moment he realised that a human had taken over the ship.

The other nearby craft all turned to attack the rogue craft, but the player managed to use an emergency hyperjump and escape from the fleet. Some ships follow, but the human bests them in combat. The human returns in an attempt to take out the rest of the fleet. The Emperor soon fights the human in his personal ship, but after its destruction he flies at the human ship with thrusters in his hands and punches through the ship's hull and later undermines the ship's core, which destroys the human. The human, because of its mind virus, moves to the nearest free body, which turns out to be a robot inside the Emperor’s ship, which is rebuilding itself. The player is now unarmed and locked in a cell.

There as well was second human, who reassembled back at the fleet communications beacon, and uploaded their own mind. By fighting through bots in a similar way to how the player did, they’ve reached the emperor’s ship and rescue the player from their cell. The two humans with their powerful mind virus destroyed anyone who got in their way. The Emperor eventually battled the humans personally, and was defeated. The Emperor's greatest trump card - his endless army of clones - was unleashed. Realising that they cannot win, one of the humans accesses a nearby terminal and move into the robot mind-space, destroying the matrix inside, which makes Emperor unable to make anymore clones of himself. At this point he tells the human their efforts are still futile, because the core directive remains, and implies he wants the human to destroy it:“Go now, fool”. The human’s mind virus lets it past the defences of the core directive, and the human destroys it. The robot race then is free from its grip. Back on the ship, The Emperor orders the robots to stop the invasion, freed from the grip of the directive. Instead, he tells them to annihilate the human race from orbit. The two humans, understandably angry at this, attack The Emperor again, as the latter transforms into his final form to destroy them. But even with such power, the tenacious humans are victorious. The fleet captain realises the emperor is dead and assumes top control and authority over the fleet; it decides that they could do “something better with their time” and the fleet leaves earth, with a brief apology about their major population centres. And so ends the tragic story of the great villain, the Emperor.

Boss Fights[]

Unlike other bosses, who are introduced/foreshadowed throught the chapter where they first are fought in, only to turn into quick ambush fights in later chapters, despite being introduced in chapter 1, he is fought in chapter 5, twice, both fights being near the end of the game (the 2nd one being the final boss of the game).

In both fights, the Emperor acts like most bosses, in the fact that only destroying his head will kill him, unlike most normal robots that die after losing all sources of damage or both legs. Unlike all other bosses, he has a very large variety of attacks, that can be reduced by destroying his limbs. The Emperor can also move around without his legs, but at a much slower pace.

First Fight (2nd-to-last Boss)[]

In the first fight, the Emperor is armed with a giant Hammer (the Hammer stick can stun upon impact) in his left hand, a very large Energy Sword (that can't be blocked, sometimes stuns) in his right hand, has no Armor and only idle robots to transfer to.

Attacks are:

  • Double Sword Swipe - The Emperor swipes his Sword in front of himself to the left, then back to the right. Requires the right hand to be connected to be performed. Based off on the Sword weapon.
  • Hammer Strike - The Emperor slams his hammer forward into the ground. Requries the left hand connected to be performed. Based off on the Hammer weapon.
  • Jump - The Emperor jumps into the air, leaping huge distances and allowing him to gain high ground. All robots near the Emperor will be stunned as well as pushed back, and any under him will be crushed. Requires both legs to be connected to be performed.
  • Flame Breath - The Emperor's head spits fire, burning any bot that makes contact with the flames. Always performable. Based off on the Flame Breath upgrade.
  • Grand Slam - The Emperor slams the Hammer and the Sword into each other, stunning and knocking back anyone that stands in the large range of the shockwave that occurs, as well as dealing lethal damage to anything inbetween the slam. Requires both hands to be connected to perform.

Second Fight (Final Boss)[]

In the second Fight, the Emperor is armed with a custom ginormous Hammer in the left hand, an oversized Sword in the right, full armor (also covers head), and 3 armored Imperial Drones, that constantly block Bow projectiles and add an armor piece on the Emperor every 10 seconds.

Attacks include:

  • The Emperor keeps all attacks from the first Fight, unless specified.
  • Super Hammer Strike - Replacing the Hammer Strike from the first fight, the Emperor slams his hammer into the ground in the exact same way and effectiveness, but also summons a shockwave on the floor, that travels forward, dealing damage. It also changes elevation to the top of the object instantly when encountering any solid indestructable object. Requries the left hand connected to be performed.
  • Super Laser Sword Chop - The Emperor raises his sword upwards, extends it to act as an laser, and swipes down, dealing lethal damage to most robots it hits, leaving flames on the floor. Requires the right hand to be connected to be performed.
  • Imperial Drone Summon - The Emperor summons an unarmored Imperial Drone from his head. Always performable.
