Clone Drone In The Danger Zone Wiki

“Sadly this is an old version the current upgrades that are currently available are sword bow kick jet pack energy which allows you to increase your energy” PTS (different guy), isn’t sword still sword and bow still bow? And jet pack energy does not exist as I’m aware. (Jet pack speed is the only replacement) If your the guy who wrote this, please tell me what you meant.

Upgrade Bot’s upgrade menu.

The Upgrades[]

Upgrades are supplied by Upgrade Bot, who the commentators often compliment for keeping the player alive. Upgrades must be chosen strategically if the player wishes to survive as long as possible. Each upgrade costs 1 upgrade point. In Last Bot Standing, you have 4 upgrade points, and some upgrades are more expensive. In most other modes, for every level you beat, you get 1 upgrade point.

Extra Lives[]

Extra lives are clones that take over when you die. You are only allowed to make a maximum of 10 clones per game, but in the old builds of the game you would only get 5 clones per game. Do not hit your clones, they will die. In multiplayer, this upgrade is replaced by the Team Revive upgrade that revives all players if they all die in one level, at the cost of two upgrade points.

Repair[]

The Repair is an upgrade that is only available when you lose an arm, a leg or the shield is damaged. It will burn your old body, and a new one is shot out of where the clones come from, restoring your entire body and repair the shield. You will not lose a clone repairing your avatar and if you have at least 1 piece or armor when you repair, the full set of armor will be put back on. However, the burning doesn't work properly when you are armoured, as the armour deflects some of the fire leaving the body still in one piece. It also doesn't appear in multiplayer.

Armor[]

Armor is an upgrade that was added when chapter 3 of the story mode came out. It will armor your legs and arms in translucent orange covers. It will come off when struck giving extra survivability, however it only covers the arms and legs leaving the head and body open for arrows, spears or vertical sword strikes and large hammers.

Jetpack[]

The Jetpack is an upgrade where the player is given a jetpack that will make them go significantly faster in the direction they move. You can use it by pressing shift, or on controller press left trigger, slowly consuming energy. The Jetpack II upgrade that stems off of the jetpack makes it go 25% faster. An essential upgrade in higher tiers, as it allows you to get some distance between you and the enemy, and allows you to outrun the speedy Mark Vs.

Kick[]

The Kick is an upgrade that allows you to kick enemies and knock them down by right clicking. The Get Up upgrade is an upgrade that stems off of the kick upgrade. It will make you get up faster when knocked down. The Power Kick that would make the kick knock back more and create a domino effect when the flying enemy hits another enemy. This is often paired with a bow to kill high level robots with minimumal risk. The kick upgrade is also used alongside the jetpack for greater effect. If you jetpack while kicking, you will do a midair kick which is an easier way to use kick without risking getting too close to an enemy. After getting the spear upgrade as well as the shield upgrade, you can get “shield bash” which makes you lunge forward to ram enemies with the shield, it has nearly the same effect as the normal kick or power kick if already obtained.

Sword[]

The Sword is the weapon that is used the most often. It has two upgrades branches: Fire Sword, and Block Arrows. Block Arrows I and II deflects arrows coming within a 90 degree and 180 degree radius respectively. Block arrows III completely deflects any arrow or shrapnel towards an enemy. If the player has Fire Sword I or II too, deflected arrows will be set on fire. Fire Sword is an upgrade that coats your sword in fire, on contact with an enemy, fire will spread around the initial wound, increasing the chance of killing a robot with contact. Fire Sword II allows fire to spread even further. This weapon is effective against archers, hammer bots and sword robots, making it the most versatile weapon in the game.

Hammer[]

The hammer is the slower melee weapon, yet highly damages and often destroys any unarmored robot with one hit . The hammer has two upgrades, the Hammer Size I and II upgrades, which makes the hammer bigger and more powerful for each level, and the Fire Hammer, that burn enemies on contact and increase your chance of killing the enemy with a single swing. This is good against hordes of enemies as it can kill multiple robots with a single swing. It also cannot be blocked. It is weaker against archers and high level sword robots due to their mobility.

Bow[]

The bow is a ranged weapon that consumes half of an energy bar per shot. When hitting an enemy, arrows harm the target just like a sword, cutting through them instantly. There are 3 upgrade types, the Arrow Size I and II upgrades, increasing the arrow width by 200% and 300% respectively, which allows the arrow to damage bots easier, Fire Arrows I and II, similar to a fire sword, ignite the target, doing more damage, and Aim Time I and II, which slows down time in exchange for slowly depleting your energy by holding right click too when charging an arrow, allowing the player to make more accurate shots, and giving them time to think. However, Aim Time upgrades is only available in single player modes. This weapon is extremely overpowered if used correctly in single player, as aim time allows you to wait for enemies to come close then shoot their head off with ease.

Spear[]

The spear is a melee weapon that has a tiny hit marker making very hard to use at first. However, jumping and circling around the enemy will allow you to get an easy head shot. Branching from the spear is Fire Spear, much like the fire upgrade on other upgrade trees, burns additional voxels around the wound and shield. The Shield upgrades, allows the player to get a shield in the left hand will block arrows and hits but leave a hole in the hit location. The shield can be repaired using the Repair upgrade. A player with a shield is unable to kick, but once they have acquired the kick upgrade they are able to get another upgrade, Shield Bash. This is a ramming attack that costs about 2/3 energy bar and works similarly to a normal kick, knocking enemies to the ground, unable to do anything. If the player has Power Kick upgrade then it also applies to shield bash as well. The spear has a longer attack range than the sword, but is much smaller. This weapon is ineffective against hammer bots compared to a sword or hammer, but great against spear bots. This weapon combined with a shield and is often used as a defensive weapon if you are low or out of clones, though temporary due the shield being slowly destroyed with every hit, hammer attacks deal heavy damage to shields. Walking backwards with a shield is almost guaranteed to block sword and hammer strikes.

Energy[]

Energy is essential for dashing, using a jetpack, using a bow, using shield bash, using flame breath and using laser. Three upgrades called Energy Capacity I, II and III, focus on adding an energy bar for each level, allowing for a total of four energy bars. After buying the first two energy capacity upgrades it stems off into the Energy Capacity III upgrade and the Energy Recharge I and II upgrades, increasing energy recharge by 50% and 100%, respectively.

Flame Breath and Fire Resistance[]

If you have Energy Capacity III, you can unlock Flame Breath. This upgrade allows the player to expel flames from their mouth like a Flame Raptor, damaging the enemy quickly. Using the flame breath immediately costs the player one energy bar, and continuing to use it will quickly consume energy. The Flame Breath can destroy multiple armor pieces making it useful against armored robots. It is often cheaper in energy to use a short burst of flame rather than a bow on high-tier enemies. Afterwards, you can unlock the Fire Resistance upgrade which reduces fire damage on the player and the shield. You have to complete the Inferno Challenge to have access to the Flame Breath upgrade.

Unused Upgrades[]

Clone Drone in the danger zone has many unused or unlisted upgrades. A list of them is below. A mod (link here: MOD ) can be used to unlock these in singleplayer.

EMP[]

An EMP attack that briefly stuns enemies and removes armor.

Seeking Arrows[]

Seeking arrows lock onto targets. This upgrade was most likely scraped because the arrows do not accurately hit targets. Often, the arrows are shot over the heads of targets.

Grenade[]

A throwable version of spidertron grenades. It uses roughly the same amount of energy as a bow, and it has an arching shot.

Raptor Tamer[]

The ability to ride on kicked over raptors. It works the same way as the last bot standing version. It was most likely scrapped because robots cannot enter the upgrade room. If they do, they often glitch out, and robots on the elevator often have incorrect physics and hitboxes.

Jump Dash[]

The bow 5 (or kickbot 2) jump dash.

Jump Smash[]

A leaping attack that the Emperor uses. It has a kick-knockback radius when it lands. It can be activated after swapping abilities to it and pressing "F"(Like flame breath).

There is a weaker version of this on the Zombie 3 and Zombie 4. It only launches toward an enemy. It does not do damage or knockback.

Shoot Down Arrows[]

The attack that armor bots use. It is an ability activated with "F"(Like flame breath).

Unbalance[]

Knock opponents' swords aside. It will take some time to recover after being blocked by an unbalance weapon. Unbalance III adds a kick effect.

Good Form[]

Good form is the counter to unbalance. It allows you to recover from being blocked. It does not block unbalance III kick effects.

Last Bot Standing Upgrades[]

Some upgrades are exclusive to last bot standing.

Laser[]

The laser attack fleet overseers have. It has three upgrade tiers, but only tier one was used. Tier one is the overseer laser. Tier two is the laser raptor laser. Tier three is the emperor's laser. The tier three laser does not move at all. It is meant to be moved with the emperor's sword.

Giant Size[]

Increases the players size. This increases the size of players' weapons. Giants move 25% faster than normal players.

Armor (Last bot standing)[]

Armor functions identically to its single player counterpart, however it costs three upgrade points. This means that it can only be paired with a bow, kick, or energy for starting upgrades.

Trivia[]

Upgrade Bot’s ’construction day’ is celebrated by the commentators during the random upgrade challenge, where the commentators credit upgrade bot for getting you through the level and picking upgrades.

The Zombie 3 and Zombie 4 have the jump dash in their models. It can be used when mind transferring into one of them. However, the zombies will never use this attack in game.

Unbalance 3 is used on the emperors and fleet overseer. Weaker levels of unbalance are used on the sword bots (Mark 2 - Mark 5)
